Telling my new employer I’m pregnant, how do I go about it?

Hi all, I’m looking for some advice. I’m starting a new job in a week and I’ll be almost 24 weeks pregnant by that point too. I’m in North Carolina working in child care. I haven’t mentioned being pregnant yet because I know that may create some bias in the choosing process but I’m curious how I go about this now that I have the job. So how do you bring this up and it not be a total shock I’ll need maternity leave soon and to attend doctor appointment periodically. I have so many worries they’ll feel bamboozled. Thank you!
