18 pro max 256 or 512

I will be upgrading this year after using 12 pro max for almost 6 years now. I currently have 256gb 12 pro max. This is more than enough for me. However with the new version the pictures and videos will be much heavier. My only concern is what if 256gb is too less over the years. I intend to use it for another 5/6 years atleast.
I am getting 256gb pro max from the US for 106K ( F&F discount in the US) and ₹131K for 512.
My 12 pro max is selling for 22k at a shop (25k if i exchange at their store)
Considering 22k only the 256 will be net 84
And 512 will be for net 109.
1.09 lac after exchanging still feels a lot of money going towards a phone. Personally I didn’t even want to upgrade , a battery change would be just fine. My wife is insisting and she intends on gifting this. So I think i have made up my mind too now on getting it.
