Ants…ants everywhere

I have a massive any problem in my yard. Not my house, just the yard.

It doesn’t matter what area of the yard I look at, there is a plethora of ants. The flower garden. The dry creek bed we have in our front yard. Unsurprisingly, near where we store wood for the winter. They have infested a tall oak tree and the surrounding area, and more.

It’s so bad that when my child left a donut in the car the next day my car was absolutely covered. It took days of advion and washing the car, parking far away from my house before it was solved.

I have tried diatomaceous earth, and the terro shaker bag ant killer, cedar shavings around the yard, and i spray around the permitter of the house to help make sure they don’t come inside, but I am at a loss. I want to give up and surrender my yard away.

To be clear, when I say infested I mean infested. Not ants just existing in their habitat. I need help. Advice is much appreciated.
