trying to find a greek myth to reference in my book

heyhey! so im trying to write a book and i was thinking of referencing a greek myth to kinda like foreshadow events of the book? heres some kinda things i was looking for:

-forest motifs ? if possible

- selfishness kinda? or maybe arrogance

- my main theme is like breaking the cycle of a family so maybe something abt that... if its out there

- having to sacrifice something for the good of others

let me know if you know any myths that tie into these themes or anything else they make you think of! im super into greek mythology but lowkey not too versed in myths 🥲 anywho bye bye
