Combat Rules question

Hi everyone, just discovered Warmaster Revolution and enjoying it so far. I have a couple of questions about combat.

1. Say I have a unit of 3 stands that charges into another identical sized enemy unit but only two of each units stands touch (4 in total instead of 6).

Would I roll the full complement of dice for those units (3 lots of 3, plus modifiers) or just for the stands that touch (2 lots of 3, plus modifiers)?

2. Say my unit charges into the side of a three-deep brigade of similar enemy units. Does the enemy brigade roll 3 dice for each stand (not unit) in contact with my unit, plus another 3 dice for supporting stands - 12 in total?
