Many of you are likely familiar with Brian Merchant, perhaps through his book, newsletter, and/or podcast (all of the same name) "Blood in the Machine".

He recently had Naomi Klein and Astra Taylor on his podcast to talk about their new book within the context of "ex" Anthropic employee, aka *Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality* heart throb Jacob Coxon, and his cute and coordinated marketing campaign last week that consisted of warning us all of the impending (p)doom and existential risk of the chatbots turning us all into paperclips by the end of the decade.
