Hp rtx 3060

I bought one of the little single fan go 3060 put in a computer after repasting and testing. 2 years on he came to me with the card thermal throttling and crashing under heavy load. My question is has anyone tried to change the cooling package in one of these and if so what did you use and how did you address the inconsistent power plug location. Some years ago I did something similar with and rx 580 blower card either good results.
