Ayn Thor, Eden nightly not saving my progress

So I used to play my switch games on Eden. I then switched to nightly so I can see how the frame generation and overall updates are for Eden nightly. I had progression on Mario kart 8 and super smash ultimate on my Eden. I then moved to nightly and uninstalled Eden, thinking I’m just going to use the nightly version. At first when I started playing on nightly and clicked on my games I figured everything had reset, and I just had to then redo cuz it’s on a “different emulator“, until I kept playing day after day and every single day my progression would be reset and start from scratch. I’m wanting to play my pokemon games, and overall every switch game without it doing so. What could be the cause? i dont understand.
