The drivers here suck and I need to rant.

Holy shit - what a damn morning. My 8 month old had a doctor appointment this morning and so I had to venture out and make the 30 min drive to his appointment.

The driving I saw on the way was nothing short of horrific. I am NOT a perfect driver (I actually just started driving again after 3 years of not driving due to epilepsy, finally seizure free yay!) nor do
I expect anyone else to be but 2 near miss accidents in one morning? Hello?! Someone who almost rear ended me by tailgating and a red light runner that almost t boned me?

Some basic rules of the road:

Red means stop, green means go, yellow does NOT mean “if you are 30 feet from the intersection speed up to 60 MPH in a 40 to try and beat the red and almost rear end the lady in front of you when she follows the law and stops safely”

Get off your phone - stop playing with your radio, stop looking for your vape, focus on the road

The speed limit is not a suggestion it’s the law, I’m going 5 over as a courtesy to pass other drivers on the left, so you can pass me. that does not mean “get as close to me as you can and hope that makes me want to go faster” because I’m not.

When you make a right turn on a red if the oncoming left turn has a green light, THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY.

Further more, if you are turning left OR right, you follow your lane. You do not “turn into the lane you want to be in” you turn into the lane you are SUPPOSED to be in. Then use your turn signal to move left or right into the lane you want to be in AFTER you’ve made your turn.

Finally - I know it’s hard not to be the main character but remember everyone on the road has a family to go home to. Driving dangerously doesn’t get you there much faster but it does put you or someone else in the grave much faster.

SLOW DOWN. PAY ATTENTION.
