I would really like to, but I can't bring myself to believe Jax can be saved.
I hope this doesn't violate rules 4 and 6. Please hear me out.
I'm glad that a lot of people here are able to find solace in the idea that Jax can or will be saved, and that abstraction is only temporary. I don't mean to take that away from you, I'm glad that's able to make you feel better about the ending of the show. I am not against the idea. I would really like that to be the case, in fact. I don't at all enjoy the way the show ended, and it's honestly made me reconsider my engagement with all of TADC as a whole.
That being said, I can't really being myself to believe abstraction is undoable in the way some of you guys seem to. I would really like to, because I think it'd make me a lot less depressed about the way the show ended, but I don't know. None of the explanations really hit that hard for me. I'm glad some of you guys were able to be convinced, and I'd like to be too, but I dunno. The merchendise just looks like that to me, merchendise. I can't really bring myself to actually, really consider it as something canonical. Same with all the other stuff like the posts on the crew's Twitter or whatever.
I honestly think short of it actually happening in an episode, nothing is really going to make me actually deeply feel like it's undoable. Which sucks, because I really hate it. I hate the way the show ended, and it left me feeling like absolute shit. And obviously, there's not going to be any new episodes that show this, because TADC is over. The whole thing has honestly really soured my involvement with the TADC fandom as a whole, I can't really bring myself to enjoy it at all the way I used it.
Anyway. Just kind of ranting about this I guess, because I don't think other subreddits would have this.
