I’m starting to think the first version of a website should be much simpler
One thing I’ve been thinking about lately is how easy it is to overbuild the website before you really know what your users want.
You can spend hours choosing layouts, rewriting headlines, adding sections and trying to make everything look perfect.
It got me thinking that maybe the better approach is to launch a good enough version early and let actual user behavior guide the next changes.
For people building in public, do you follow that approach, or do you prefer getting the website polished before showing the product to people?
