Transpersonal Psy: My experience with the School for Esoteric Studies

’ve been a student of the School for Esoteric Studies for over 20 years, and my experience has been extraordinary. Tutors are seriously trained and feedback is 100% opersonalized. Students get lessons based on the Ageless Wisdom and Psychological Reserach + Classic Books from different fields, including a variety of serious, up-to-date psychological research, mindfulness, cultural studies, and Psychosynthesis. Students are assigned a group of commentators that work with us and give us support. The courses' emphasis on meditation, self-observation, study, and practucak service or work --very practical, tailor-made exercises are something I really enjoy. It's a registered charity organization, with over 70 years in the field. They continually update and create new materials, including newsletters, videos, and a variety of courses on different timely topics. As a licensed, transpersonal psychotherapist and trained Psychosynthesis Therapist and Trainer, I’ve found fascinating connections with Psychosynthesis and Transpersonal Psychology I didn't know about, particularly in the exploration of uncounsciouss, consciousness, and the superconsciouss; disidentification from personality patterns, and the gradual integration of the different aspects of ourselves within a larger sense of purpose. SES approaches these questions from the perspective of the Ageless Wisdom, the Alice Bailey and Assagioli teachings, so it goes beyond a purely psychological framework, but I find the dialogue between the two approaches particularly valuable and never dogmatic. It’s not a quick or superficial course of study – the work unfolds gradually over years and encourages you to discover things for yourself.
