Feel a little lost with saving and timeline
Hi everyone, first time posting here. I have been feeling like I'm racing to get to my coastfire number. That has gotten me to lose a lot of money daytrading (around 200k). I'm done with that life now. Granted, yes the one silver lining is that I can do a good bit of tax lost harvesting with that.
Anyways, I have 400k saved up, 150k of student loans at 3.7% that I'm slowly paying off. My income last year was around 500k, this year jumped up to around 750k and I'm hopeful that it'll stay around there or higher for a couple of years at least. Pretty decent WLB. I'm a 1099 so can stock up more money in solo 401k than the average.
I want to get to coastfire, but feel like I've been in a race to get to it and don't know why (going to explore that in therapy soon). My coastfire number is around 1.2M and I'm 33 so not far from it. However, I'm unsure how long my salary will be as high as it is, and idk if I want to back off of work or get out of the field I'm in. I'm also working on trying to find hobbies/other things I enjoy doing or solo traveling.
Wanted to share my situation and appreciate every and all advice (and hopeful that looking back at this will keep me accountable not to get back into any kind of trading)
