Games that stuck with you for their environments or their art direction?
i was playing radiata stories upscaled to 4k and after a while i found myself not really playing as much as i was meandering to take in the backgrounds and the vibrant colors. it made me wonder, what games out there stand out to you for their worlds and art directions?
creative architecture, fantastical environments, inspiration from lesser known cultures, interesting fashion in the character designs, surreal/ethereal worlds, striking colors, stylized art styles...really any aesthetic quality that isn't just raw graphical fidelity.
bonus points if it's on older hardware and looks even more impressive when you remember the technical limitations
