Am i wrong for assuming all marriages are doomed?

General Question

Im a pessimist when it comes to marriages, just imagine, what marriage actually is.

Its legally binding two humans to stay together forever till death do us apart.

During such a length of time, its almost inevitable that at some point, some event, that could be completely out of both of your control occurs and may cause a crack in the relationship and boom, divorced.

Litterally anything could happen, somehting as simple as one of the partners changed their mood, because they have been eating different diet or didn't exercise as often so their mood has been altered to a point where they started second guessing the relationship/marriage and decided impulisvely time to divorce.

And or if they dont divorce they may silently carry their resentment towards you etc and let it build up, etc...

In life, i think its best to assume the worst, so i'd already assume any marriage is doomed from the start, its maybe a matter of when.

But i get it, not all marriages end like so, just only 50% of them.

Some may argue "oh but imagine the many good years you've had in the time the marriage lasted" but... i'd be thinking of it as the many years that was wasted, and the efforts put into the relationship, just for it to end.

I think i simply rather opt in for the low stress, most predictable outcomes in life
