I doubt that this series is going to be book-accurate...

All the other numerous discussions people have had aside about the changes they've made, the impression that I got from watching the trailer really didn't give me the impression that this is necessarily going to stick to the book. There definitely are a lot of scenes that weren't in the films, but I don't recall them being in the book either.

Some examples:

*Ron getting his Hogwarts acceptance letter (definitely not in the book)

*Hermione talking about the summer reading list with Lavender Brown and that other girl (definitely not in the book)

*Lavender talking about the Sorting Hat (Definitely not in the book)

*The scene with the vanishing bridge (I'm pretty sure that it's one of the obstacles protecting the Philosopher's Stone, but that wasn't in the book)

*Harry talking to McGonagall and her telling him that she expects him to work hard, make friends, and find what sparks his interests (I don't think this was in the book)

If they're wanting to add additional scenes, that's fine with me, but it's not sticking to the book.
