Is it as bad as they say?
I’m sure this is asked A LOT but I’d do have some follow up to what I generally see posted.
I currently work in health admin but was a special education paraprofessional for about 3 years when I was younger (I was hit, peed on, and had a decent sized bite once but still loved it). I am considering switching careers to being a teacher (obviously). I think upper elementary is where I’d best fit, but possibly lower as well.
I currently make okay money and work fully remote, but my job feels lifeless. I need something more fulfilling that actually feels like I’m doing something real and not just typing imaginary numbers into an excel sheet. My MIL was a teacher and complains about how annoying parents and admin were as a teacher and how many meetings there were.
I currently also have a lot of terrible useless meetings and my admin is horrible. So I guess with that, are the parents THAT bad? Like should that be enough to detour me?
