This show is perfect

No criticism of this show is valid. All the action happens juuust off-screen because the showrunners don’t want to detract from the acting. All the aliens look indistinguishable from humans because that’s how devious they are. The budget has nothing to do with this. Hal is canonically worse than Hitler so how dare anyone suggest they’re doing his character dirty. John was a Sergeant Major who also was a Major and then got dishonorably discharged for reasons. It’s all part of his backstory guys. His parents knew how important it would be for him to pay for the sins of the father by becoming a Space Cop! Why is a show about intergalactic beings taking place in rural Nebraska? Are you stupid?? This is the True Detective of the DCU. I’m so tired of all you casuals who don’t read the comics.
