Gavin Ortlund vs Trent horn debate from three years ago

I have posted here a couple of times about questions about Catholicism. I watched a debate between Gavin and Trent about a year ago and at the time Trent seemed to have the upper hand. I watched it again the other day and Gavin summed it up so well on the question of authority with this analogy “ an umpire has the authority to call a ball or a strike, but that does not mean his calls are infallible.” Something so simply put, hit me so hard. If you wrestled with Catholicism or orthodoxy claims, what is a moment that hit you hard to be confident in staying Protestant? This is just one of several moments but has been the most recent for me. Also, will be becoming a member from nondenominational to PCA next month woop woop 🙌
