Why does everyone feel bad for Ben??

I think it’s weird how many people feel bad for Ben or act like he was some helpless victim who got dragged into all of this.

He knew exactly who Taylor was before getting involved with her, and HAD to have known things with Dakota weren’t completely over. He didn’t find it concerning she was supposedly “engaged,” still talking to Dakota, and sneaking him around.

He also never questioned why she was spending so little time with her kids, especially considering this was when she still had significantly more custody?

Then despite all of those very obvious red flags, he immediately starts with the classic love bombing “I want to marry you” and “I want to have kids with you” talk when they barely even knew each other. Buying her coffee and breakfast in bed, taking “romantic” baths. Taylor was clearly not in a stable place.

Now, I’m not saying Taylor didn’t treat him badly, but that doesn’t automatically make him some innocent victim.

If anything it seems they mutually were using one another and he’s a clout chaser.
