Soft lock implementation

I love this game but what the hell is wrong with the soft lock implementation and how is not fixed yet? No way this is the intended implementation, the steering wheel just bounces violently at full lock which makes it practically unusable. Idk if it's tied to specific hardware, but I really do hope they fix this ASAP. Does it work properly for anyone? I'm using a Simagic Alpha wheelbase.
