27 [M4F] #South Carolina - Trying this again

Hi everyone, as the title says I’m 27M in South Carolina, Low Country area.

I have always had problems with dating as I just get easily flustered/shy at first when going out for drinks and approaching. Most nights I’d be fine after a couple drinks and things would be fine. But after college I just don’t drink as much or go out and now when I do I just get anxious.

I’m not a loser or unattractive by any means. I just don’t know how to market myself.

That is literally my only issue. Is just presenting my self as the great option I know I can be. I have a great family, great friends, my co workers like me, I generally get along well with women when their reciprocating effort in conversation, I can be really funny when the energy is there. Just being flirty in conversation can be difficult for me, especially right away when I’m out in public for drinks etc.

Even my older co worker is trying to set me up when she’s out haha, she’s so sweet.

So this problem has brought me to reddit to see if there are also any shy women at first who would love to chat and see if we click. I don’t mind texting, phone calls or FaceTime, but I really want this to be an irl relationship. I’m trying to meet someone who is actually interested in me. Not just sleeping together or leading each other on.

I’m a guy so obviously I like sports. But that’s not my life, like I don’t need to watch or be looking at that stuff everyday, I just grew up playing sports.

I was always outside growing up so if you like the outdoors you’re probably my type. It doesn’t have to be activities either. Just sitting outside and enjoying the weather or a fire while you and I read is just fine with me. I also like going to the beach and wouldn’t mind learning how to surf.

I used to draw a little, listen to old country music mostly, and when I mean old country, I mean mostly everyone I listen to is dead lol.

Always down for a good movie or series I’ll literally watch anything, I’m a great cuddler, just looking for my little spoon.

I’m pretty book smart always had good grades but also not a genius. I’m a little quirky, funky and energetic sometimes but generally I’m calm and keep a level head.

I’m really just trying to find people to date who don’t treat people like shit and actually want to get to know them. If you’re down to do fun shit, have a great time, and possibly meet the one for you…
