Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a more technical update about the Disney Heroes: Battle Mode revival, from my side as the person who has been building most of the project so far.

This started as an attempt to understand whether the game could be brought back after the original service became unavailable. Over time, it turned into a much larger preservation and rebuilding effort: a Java server, authentication and persistence, a desktop client port, content delivery, launcher tooling, Android/APK work, rendering and particle systems, extraction and reverse-engineering tools, diagnostics, and a growing number of game systems.

The important point is that this is not a finished release. A development version exists, but it is incomplete and should be treated as a work-in-progress for development, investigation, and testing. Some systems are functional, some are partial, and some still need proper validation. Server deployment and hosting, APK reliability, parts of the Java rendering/particle work, full end-to-end testing, and launcher usability are among the areas that still need attention.

That is also why I am looking for people who enjoy understanding existing projects and improving them. The most useful help may come from many different backgrounds: Java or Python development, networking and server hosting, Android and APK tooling, desktop rendering, reverse engineering, testing, automation, documentation, content preservation, or simply careful investigation of a subsystem that is not yet well understood.

I am not looking to create a conventional team where everyone receives assigned tasks. I would rather share the existing architecture and knowledge, answer questions, and let contributors find an area that genuinely interests them. Someone who wants to learn, test a build, document a problem, or investigate one small part of the project can be just as useful as someone with years of professional experience.

I put together a short contribution form for anyone who would like to indicate their interests, skills, possible availability, or testing platforms. There is no application process, no minimum commitment, and no expectation that you already know where you fit.

**Community contribution form:**

For anyone who wants a deeper overview before responding, the current technical handover Bible is available here:

The project is still unfinished, but it has reached a point where opening the work to more people makes sense. I would rather be transparent about the remaining problems and build this carefully than present it as something that is already ready when it is not.

If you are interested, please feel free to use the form or ask questions here. Even if you are not a developer, reports, testing, documentation, historical information, and careful feedback can help move the project forward.

Thank you to everyone who has kept an interest in DHBM and to the community members who have helped preserve the game's history so, and a special thank you to PrimeNineFan for his invaluable help throughout this project.
