Why Can't we have customisable HUD (score updates)?

Was sat tweaking the settings earlier and I really don't like getting the +150 or whatever score you get when you kill someone, would be considerably better if we could turn that off whilst keeping the important information on (like +10 destroyed razorbloom shell etc).

Just is kind of destracting and would be cool to have more customisation in this department, what do you guys think?
