I really need someone to talk to, but I can't afford therapy. Are there any free options?

Seeking Guidance

I'm a college student in India and I've been struggling with loneliness, social anxiety, and needing validation from other people more than I'd like to admit.

Recently I did something I regret because I wanted people to care about me, and it made me realize that I probably need to talk to an actual therapist/counsellor and understand what's going on with me instead of just keeping everything in my head.

The problem is that I genuinely can't afford regular therapy right now.

I'm specifically looking for free or genuinely low-cost counselling, preferably online/chat-based because I'm much more comfortable expressing myself through text than talking on the phone.

If anyone knows of a legitimate organisation, student counselling service, NGO, or therapist who offers free/subsidised sessions in India, I'd really appreciate it.

I want to talk to an actual human/professional if possible.

Thanks.
