New to discus

New to discus. I’ve never had them before. I’m planning a 75 gal for a few discus. I’ve have done so much reading and know they are difficult due to needing pristine water. I’m planning on going bare bottom and will have plants attached to wood or rock. Would like feedback from others on how difficult they really are. I’m not doing the tiny ones nor the jumbo, I want the medium size.
