Pocus use

How often is POCUS (point of care ultrasound) used in PM and R? My school is starting a new POCUS program we can apply to (current OMS-II) that will last until we graduate and is meant to help us integrate POCUS more into patient care and become more experienced and confident using it. I am interested in PM and R so I was wondering if it would be helpful for this specialty and if so, what uses has POCUS had in your experience?
