Day 1 of asking Blizzard for flex raiding
I honestly think this was the greatest weekend in modern Blizzard's history. They (specifically Aggrend) proved that for C+, they were willing to listen and even want to receive community feedback!
As a result, I'm going to post here and on the official Blizzard forums every day until we hear something concrete announced about the raid sizes. SoD-style flex was an immensely popular system and I would be so disappointed if Forever only has static raid sizes. If you don't know, in SoD a raid's difficulty was fixed and tuned for 10/20 players, but raids were allowed to invite up to 20/40 players without the boss scaling up or dropping extra loot. Rarely did people actually run a full 20 or 40, but it allowed guilds to have a variable roster and almost no stress if life got in the way that week for several people.
To start the list, here's my own biggest reason:
-
I GM a guild of ~30 friends. It'd be a real shame if Blizzard's chooses a design that could potentially spoil the endgame for 10 of my guildies.
Leave a comment below, and I will add the most upvoted one to tomorrow's Day 2 post. Cheers.
