Seeking advice for curls that won’t stay / drop out instantly?

Hi guys so I’ve never actually really had this issue before as I’ve always bleached my hair over the years. In recent years I’ve been working hard to get my hair back healthy again, no bleach, using gloss etc. I curl my hair using hair curlers and I’ve always just used some hair spray and they’ve lasted for days! But now it seems to be because my hair is more silky & soft (subtle brag hahahah) my curls just drop out instantly. I went out this weekend and I brushed hair spray through my hair, then curled it and pin curled it, took it out right before going out and hair sprayed again. Literally within an hour or two my hair was straight again. I have the same thing when I try heatless curls too. Help!
