I'm a Machinist. What haircare would you suggest?

I currently wash my hair every other day, use moisturizing shampoo & conditioner (clarifying shampoo twice a month). I wear a headband around the edge of my scalp/forehead area to help keep my scalp protected and I use a coconut serum on my ends after my showers. I don't get covered in coolant and grease everyday, but i do on occasion. I always try to keep my hair out of the way and not touch it. I have medium to long length straight hair (like 1a STRAIGHT). What could I be doing differently/better? Any blue collar peeps in here? What do yall use?
