Is anyone actually using Slack as the place where project work gets managed?

Our team basically lives in Slack, but our project work lives somewhere else.

That means every task starts as a Slack conversation and eventually gets copied into another tool. Then people have to remember to check both places.

I'm wondering if anyone has found a decent way around this. I'd rather have something that can work from inside Slack and understand what we're asking people to do.

I've come across Pondros while looking at this space. It seems more focused on actually managing work in Slack rather than just taking notes.

What are people using?
