CMH with kids (5-12) - crash course/would you?

Looking at applying for a temp that includes this age group. I’ve only ever worked with adults (or older teens) as an outpatient therapist in CMH.

I’m being encouraged to apply anyway, but:

1. don’t know if I WANT to do this work (and then again, don’t have much to compare it to)

And

2. don’t know what I’d be doing.

Not sure if I’d be doing something dumb by giving it a shot (or, again, if I want to?!) but would love fresh perspectives. I’ve been at my current role and location for 8 years so a 1 year temp seems like a good way to shake things up, in theory?

Anyone get thrown into work with younger kids and love it? What did you find helpful?
