Me and My wife have been long debating hiding the fact that our “son” is not “ours” when I met her she had just fled the state she was living in because her boyfriend tried to murder her and their newborn son. This guy is an absolute nut he is now imprisoned and will likely not see the light of day with all of the charges against him. He never wanted the child to be here he actually beat her several times while pregnant to hopefully kill the baby. Now I will say when I met her I had no intentions of being a stepdad and honestly was just wanting to have fun, however that quickly changed when I spent more time with her and now we are married and have a child of our own. Given the fact I treat my son as my own and I genuinely look at him that way because I’ve known him since he was 4 weeks old, we are very torn on if we ever even want to tell him about his biological father because why does it matter when I truly will always treat him as my own and do anything in the world for him. He’s not old enough for that conversation yet either we still have a couple years before we would even consider informing him. However I don’t want him to somehow find out and feel betrayed by me and his mother either….. I really need some help on this one
