One reason why Philoise is so satisfying that non-shippers don't get...
....
Is that Eloise won't become all soft and toned down and lose all her values of feminism when she marries Phillip- it will ironically amplify them because she will be most content and being in love. This is the quality that I hope gets expanded upon where I think everybody, should it's known that Philoise is an MOC (or adapted that way), is a little wary of Philoise, actually comes to see the benefits that Eloise is happy and that a slow burn is just as valid as any other love match.
Part of this came from reading "In Plain Sight"- a fic tragically deleted from Ao3, but where Francesca really points out how Eloise is still her usual self but she's calmer and less reactive towards other people.
What do you guys think?
