Need some advice on Hair Transplant
I’m planning to get an FUE hair transplant in Turkey and I’m currently comparing different clinics/doctors. I’d really appreciate advice from people who have already been through the process.
A few doctors have given me 2–3 possible treatment approaches/options, and I’m struggling to understand how a patient is supposed to know which one is actually the best.
What should I be looking at when comparing clinics apart from price and before/after photos? For example, how important is it that the doctor personally performs the extraction/incisions/implantation rather than technicians? Are there any specific questions you would definitely ask before booking?
ONe of the recommended options is two separate operations with around a one-year gap instead of trying to do everything in one session.
I understand there can be legitimate reasons for this, such as donor-area limitations, protecting graft survival, planning for future hair loss, or needing a large number of grafts. But how can I judge whether two procedures are genuinely medically necessary rather than simply a way for the clinic to make more money?
Also, what is considered a realistic/safe maximum number of grafts in a single FUE session? I’m not sure where the line is between an appropriately large session and overharvesting the donor area.
For people who had to choose between several Turkish clinics:
- What made you trust one surgeon over another?
- What red flags should I watch for?
Not looking for the cheapest clinic, I’m mainly trying to understand how to make an informed decision and avoid hair-mill type places.
Thanks for any advice or experiences.
