chunky foil-glitter shards? opal effect?
hi gang. I'm planing on doing opal nails. I've been practicing making them for a while now as it's my favourite gemstone but i can't get the opal-y shimmer right
i have some soft foil that does look nice but it doesn't get the effect i want. i also have these chunky things (it's no glass I swear)
and they give me the effect i WANT... however they are chunky af and they do not want to stick flatly to my nail. filing the exceess chunk off just makes the entire thing rip off. so far the only way to hide them was adding builder gel on top of them just to smoothen the surface out but that just gives my chunky nails and i dont want that either. :(
i did some opal nails before (the pink and blueish ones) but they were chunky too... and too wide lol. :( is there away to prevent that? am i missing something? or is that just how it is with that foil? i'm only using gel!
I could go the easy route to just make pearl-y nails but i'm absolutely in love with the very saturated colours on opals and i want to keep on practicing!
