Continue EMT program in NorCal?

I’m supposed to start my EMT program in October, but after reading this sub, I’ve been feeling discouraged because so many people are saying they’re having a hard time finding EMT jobs in NorCal/Sacramento. Is it worth continuing with the program, or should I withdraw? I’m also not planning to use EMT as a stepping stone into nursing.
