Post-Traumatic shock

I have been working for the last four days in an event near my town as a doctor, it was really hot so those four days were not a piece of cake. We did a pretty good job, i felt great those days helping people arround, i even took food to share with my colleagues and my own sunscream wich I ended giving to any passer by that needed it.

When the event ended, me and a colleague rushed out for driving home as we were really tired, those four days the working shift was from 6am to 8 pm, so we had to get up much earlier than that to get to the meeting point. We decided while on the way to stop in a nearby shopping mall so we could get some food and take it home. When there, we also spent some time buying random stuff.

By the time we got to the food local that we decided i started feeling dizzy and not able to stand, so after ordering some food i reached a chair close to a table and take some water. Soon after that, my colleague realises and ask me if i'm ok and i'm gonna vomit, reaches me a plastig bag and I inmediatly throw up. I felt dizzy, nauseous, sweatting like crazy with not being able to stand. As i can i vomit only in the bag i have. I asumed i was having any kind of heat shock after the long day so I tried just to stop vomiting, someone taking me to the toilet to refresh a little bit and leave. I was like this, not being able to move for at least 10-15 minutes.

After the counter the 3 ladies that were serving the food did not move. Only one came just to say if we could leave because: "other people want to eat here". When i stopped vomiting found a tray and used it to give me some fresh air, started recovering and adjusting myself and my hair, trying to dry myself with the only napkin i was given. I asked my collegue who was really trying to do her best to help me to try to remain calm because I was going to be ok. She really tried and followed my advise to not call emergency. She only asked security to help me reach the toilet or outside so I could get some air. He literally said: "I am not allowed to touch him, he could ruin my suit". She asked for help to some people that were hanging with a dog and they just pretended not to hear us.

As i could, standed up, cleaned the table, apologized, paid and left with another plastic bag my colleague asked for. I stumbled on my way to the car, when finnally there i just dropped the seats to lie down, got way better, vomited a couple times more and when at home just dropped dead in bed.

I am feeling all right, but i woke up feeling terribly sad. i asked myself all the time "how do i look?, What's the problem?, Why is noone helping?", i cried all day thinking i was giving suncream and joking like with a thousand strangers. Lost faith in humanity and karma. And feel rubish for my collegue who did great to help me, but suffered a huge stress as she was also really nervous to see me that bad.

Just needed to share it. I can't believe we are creating this society.
