A bra is a top, even without a shirt

There’s a famous Seinfeld episode where Elaine declares that a bra is not a top. To which I firmly disagree. As long as the woman’s nipples are covered, and the breasts are supported, a bra is absolutely a top in and of itself.

I see women go to the gym all the time with nothing but a sports bra, and no one is complaining. Maybe it was a 90’s thing before the advent of sportswear and lululemon, but these days it is actually more common to see women use a bra as a fashionable top than it is any alternative.

Tl;dr A bra is a top, and women don’t need to feel they have to wear a shirt or anything else, as long as there’s no indecent exposure.
