Overthinking the exact location

I'm omitting specific details because my girlfriend is on Reddit.

I'm going to be proposing in a few months to my girlfriend in my home country (I'm a dual citizen of it + my current country of residence) but have been overthinking exactly where to do so. We're going to be staying with my family for the most part but will be spending 3 days in another part that's significant to my early childhood. She's never visited my home country before.

I was thinking of either doing it on my birthday (the only reason for the trip, as far as she knows) with my family, or at the other place with just the two of us. She has no preference about others being present so that's not something to worry about.

I've consulted with my mom already, and she's of the opinion we should do it at a place that we'll make memories together at instead of just the place that's personally significant. I'm a chihuahua that made a wish to become human so naturally I'm fretting over every singular minute detail (and also everything else).
