Audio pareidolia or something else?

My wife and I have recently noticed something strange in our home. We have noticed something that sounds like phantom radio chatter in our home. It sounds like police, fire department or something like that talking on a radio in another room. I hear it when I’m in the bathroom. It always sounds like it’s one or two rooms away. My wife has the same experience in the kitchen. I assume it’s just white noise messing with our minds. But how cool would it be if it was actually something paranormal?
