Moving forward with hsv-1

I am 21F living with hsv-1. I've had it for almost a year and have struggled with coming to terms with it ever since. I am in college and the stigma surrounding std's and sti's is so prevelent. for me, this is more of an internal battle of trying to be content with my diagnoses instead of hating myself for it. for those that have it or similar diagnoses, what has helped you accept yourself through the stigma and ignore ignorant comments regarding the diagnoses. I feel lost and like i'll never truly be accepted by anyone.
