Original Misconceptions

After the teaser was released, some YouTubers claimed that the white-masked people were the later incarnation of the White Lotus that was now anti-avatar, and compared them to the Catholic Church. Weeks ago, I started thinking I was believing that was a misconception, and this new idea might as well be valid with the new teaser. Say, who has corrected those YouTubers, if anyone?
