From Harm to Harmony - a closed-loop engine

Can someone improve this to reflect cause and effect?

class ClosedLoopEngine:
    def __init__(self):
        self._ledger = []  # Append-only, immutable event log

    def commit_action(self, source_entity, action_type, magnitude):
        # 1. Define the event
        event = {
            "source": source_entity.id,
            "action": action_type,
            "magnitude": magnitude,
            "feedback_vector": 0
        }

        # 2. The Immutable Law of Return
        # The system refuses to allow externalized consequences.
        # Whatever is sent into the network is calculated and returned.

        if action_type == "EXTRACTION_OR_HARM":
            # Harm returns to the source through the closed loop.
            event["feedback_vector"] = magnitude * 2.0
            source_entity.integrity -= event["feedback_vector"]

        elif action_type == "PRESERVATION_OR_CREATION":
            event["feedback_vector"] = magnitude * 1.0
            source_entity.integrity += event["feedback_vector"]

        # 3. Lock the event into the unalterable ledger
        self._ledger.append(tuple(event.items()))

        if source_entity.integrity <= 0:
            raise SystemError(
                "Container collapse: "
                "Closed-loop violation threshold breached."
            )

        return source_entity.integrity
