Discrimination in french unis?

Hi, everyone! I will be applying this year to french unis, and I am russian- currently studying in russian international school(doing my a levels,and i have done my igcse in England), I have great grades and cv with extra curriculum. However, I am not sure how french unis look into Russians, considering the situation we are living in… Can they decline on the basis of nationality? Or in general does it play a part in descision making process, maybe even slightly? What is the attitude in general to Russians in France ? Will be happy to know, thank you in advance!
