It is argued that the gap between countries is narrowing day by day due to the ability to purchase same products all around the world. This essay agrees that this transformation of globalization is positive. Firstly, luxury goods are not limited to specific countries anymore, and secondly, the expanding markets provide the opportunity to brands from lesser known countries to grow.

Many products that are associated with the term "high-end" were not available for citizens in third countries back then. During those days, they had to sacrifice huge sums as tariffs levied by governments on imported items. Now, many of such corporations have official stalls at famous malls, even in developing countries like Sri Lanka. For instance, Sri Lankans who used to discard their iphones since the repair costs were overbearing the price of a new phone are gladly enjoying the services from the newly installed apple store in Colombo.

Not only luxury goods, consuming foreign products like chocolates, frappe, and imported shoes have ceased as a privilege. Earlier, listening to someone divulging on trying a Wendy's burgher was fascinating to us yet now even an ordinary person could walk into the multi- national junk food chain in Sri Lanka. These prospective markets permit converting small shops into global conglomerates, and thereby hop on the rise of revenue.

Hence, the favourable circumstances of global markets offer the opportunity of enjoying identical goods and services in different continents and to grow existing markets.
