Deciding upon career pathway
Hi Everyone,
I’m a 21 year old engineering graduate who really dislikes his current career path. I’ve felt like I’ve always had this part of me that has wanted to do medicine but never really gone for it. I’ve been considering to try and get into the 2027 medicine cohort to pursue a career as a Dr rather than continue the engineering pathway.
My question for those who are/have pursued medicine is how did you know I was the right thing for you and how did you prove it to yourself I suppose. My parents are pretty against me pursuing university for another 4 years and doubt wether I genuinely feel and interest for the field so I’m trying to figure out what I can do to show that a career change will truely be beneficial to my happiness in life.
Thanks for any responses
