pedestal 15A power to campside

I've been looking for a solution to provide power to the camp side of the RV directly from the 15A outlet on the pedestal. I'd like to power things like a fan, air fryer, and other equipment without having to run it through the RV electrical system.

Option 1 (what I've been doing): run an extension cord under the trailer. It works but the cord is laying on the ground, looks messy and is another setup and breakdown step.

Option 2: what i'm thinking of doing is adding a male plug on the utility side, connected permanently under the trailer to a female outlet on the camp side. This would let me just plug in a short extension cord to the pedestal and have outlets powered ready to use.

Should cost around $50 of materials and need 2 holes drilled in the lower flashing to install.

What am I not thinking of for this project?

Materials for outlet project.
