Why the hell do NTs say such strange shit when they just state what they mean???

I was at work (grocery stores) and one of my coworkers sees good food and says “are you gonna share that with me??” And it’s supposed to express that the food is good but I think it’s unpleasant and annoying. She had me thinking I needed to give her food. wtf. I also was told “ooo I’m gonna steal your dog” at the dog park I guess as a compliment but that is so creepy. Why would you say that??? Just say what you mean. NTs are such fuckn freaks.
