Christmas in Québec City without a car-local traditions, Christmas Day ideas & tips?

Hey everyone!

I’m visiting Québec City from December 22nd to 27th. I don't have a car and will be relying on public transit and Uber.

My main plan is to soak in the festive vibes around Old Québec, hit up the German Christmas Market (Marché de Noël allemand), check out Le Grand Marché, do the 1884 Toboggan Slide at Dufferin Terrace, and wander around Petit-Champlain and Place Royale.

I have a few questions for locals or past visitors:

  1. Local Christmas Traditions: Are there any unique local holiday traditions, festive spots, or cozy food/drink experiences I shouldn't miss?

  2. Dec 25th & 26th: What is actually open or enjoyable to do on Christmas Day and Boxing Day without a car? (e.g., ice skating at Place D'Youville, walking tours, light displays)?

Last year I spent Christmas in Montreal and did the Notre Dame midnight mass which was an amazing experience. Wanting to attend similar authentic experiences and traditions.

Appreciate any suggestions or advice to help make the most of the trip!
